I first purchased this item at the Windsor Button Shop in Boston in 1983 for $15.00. Since then I have made this same stocking for all my children and grandchildren and now starting on in-laws. This current stocking looks as good as the first one purchased; no staining, fading, or streaking of fabric, thread or directions. Even the enclosed embroidery needle secured in the fabric had not left a mark.
